Workplace relations involves the interaction between an employer and a group of its employees acting collectively, whether or not they may be represented by a union. It may also involve disputes as to the rights and entitlements of a union seeking to represent those employees.
We will assist you to deal with any collective disputes that may arise in your workplace, whether that is with a union or a group of employees, for example, disputes as to a union’s right to enter your workplace or a dispute as to the correct meaning of a clause in an award or enterprise agreement.
We will help you to determine the validity of any dispute raised with you, advise you on your obligations under any dispute resolution procedure and, if it becomes necessary, represent you before a commission either in mediation or arbitration.
We can also advise you on a negotiating strategy to resolve the dispute, including joining your negotiating team in the negotiations.
