There are many situations where an employer may need to investigate the conduct of one or more employees, whether for disciplinary purposes or as a result of a complaint. It is important that any investigation is conducted quickly, fairly and confidentially and that the investigator has the skills to evaluate and make findings regarding conflicting evidence.

If you receive a complaint about the conduct of a staff member which involves allegations of serious misconduct (for example sexual harassment) or requires delicate handling (for example allegations against the CEO or a director), we can investigate the complaint thoroughly and in accordance with the principles of natural justice and provide you with a report setting out the findings that can be made and, where appropriate, the sanction that might be applied.

Alternatively, we can help you to develop an appropriate procedure and coach your internal investigator to ensure that he or she is then able to conduct a compliant investigation.
